How to Convert WebP to JPG (or PNG)
Image ConverterConvert between JPG, PNG, WebP and more. Free, no sign-up.Many websites serve images as WebP because it is small. When you save one, older apps, some email clients and print services may refuse to open it. Converting to JPG fixes that.
Convert WebP to JPG
- Open the Image Converter and drop your
.webpfiles. - Choose JPG as the output format.
- Download the images one by one, or all of them as a
.zip.
The conversion runs in your browser on your own device.
JPG or PNG?
- JPG for photos. Smaller files, opens everywhere.
- PNG for graphics with transparency, such as logos and icons. JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas get a background color; you can pick which one.
For a straight WebP-to-PNG conversion there is also WebP to PNG.
Will I lose quality?
WebP and JPG both use lossy compression, so converting adds a small amount of loss. At a high quality setting the difference is not visible. Convert from the original image once, rather than converting back and forth.
Too big after converting?
JPG files are often larger than the WebP they came from. If size matters, run them through Compress Image afterwards.
